Privacy policy
Multiple Screens (Écrans Multiples) is a digital signage service offered by Aide-Informatique (aide-informatique.com), in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. It complies with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
In short: we collect the minimum needed to run your account and your screens. We never sell or rent your information, we use no advertising or tracking tools, and we never see your credit card number.

3. Why we use this information
- Create and secure your account, authenticate you and let you reset your password;
- Show your content on your screens and tell you their status;
- Manage your subscription, payments and invoices;
- Send you the emails the service needs (invitation, password reset, custom offer). We send no newsletter or advertising without your separate consent;
- Provide technical support at your request;
- Protect the service against abuse and meet our legal obligations (for example, tax obligations).
We do not use your information to make decisions based exclusively on automated processing, nor to profile you.
4. Consent
By creating an account, you consent to our use of your information for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by closing your account (see Your rights). Withdrawing consent may, however, prevent us from providing the service.
5. Service providers and transfers outside Quebec
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do use a few providers to operate the service. Some are located outside Quebec, mainly in the United States:
| Provider | Role | Information involved | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Render | Hosting of the application and data | All service data (except credit cards) | United States |
| Cloudflare | Secure traffic routing; relay for live broadcasts when the network requires it (end-to-end encrypted images) | IP address, requests | United States and international |
| Stripe | Payment processing and billing | Email, name, card, billing address | Canada and United States |
| HostGator | Sending the service’s emails | Email address, email content | United States |
| Bunny.net (BunnyWay, Slovenia) | Image storage; video hosting, conversion and delivery | Images and videos you upload; IP address of the screens showing them | Europe, North America and Singapore (storage copies); worldwide delivery network |
These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us. Before transferring information outside Quebec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection there. Information hosted outside Quebec may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
External content you choose to embed (YouTube or Vimeo videos, Google Slides or PowerPoint presentations, web pages, video streams): when a screen shows it, it connects directly to that service, which then receives the screen’s IP address and applies its own privacy rules. For YouTube, we use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
We may also disclose information when required by law, for example following a court order.
6. Access by our team
Only authorized Aide-Informatique personnel have access to the information, and only when needed for their duties. To help you, a team member may open a support session in your account. The session lasts at most two hours, shows a clearly visible banner and is logged in your account history.
7. Cookies and local storage
- A single cookie, strictly necessary: it keeps you signed in (maximum 30 days). It serves no other purpose.
- On a display screen, the browser keeps the screen’s identifier and a copy of the last content shown, so the screen keeps working during an Internet outage.
- We use no analytics, advertising or social media cookies.
8. Retention and destruction
- We keep your account information as long as your account is open.
- When you ask us to close your account, we destroy your information (account, content, images, videos and screens), including at Bunny.net, within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
- An account with no active subscription and no sign-in for 24 months may be closed and its information destroyed, after notice by email.
- Our host’s backup copies are erased automatically according to their normal rotation cycle.
- Payment and billing records are kept by Stripe and by us as long as tax laws require (generally six years after the end of the year concerned).
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all pages and screens;
- passwords kept only in irreversibly encrypted form, never in plain text;
- single-use, time-limited reset links;
- temporary lockout after several failed sign-in attempts;
- payments handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI DSS certified provider;
- administrative access restricted to authorized people, with an action log.
No measure is perfect. Choose a unique password and never share it.
10. Your rights
At no charge, you may:
- access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected;
- withdraw your consent and ask for your account to be closed and your information destroyed;
- obtain your information in a structured, commonly used technological format. You can also export your content and its images yourself at any time with the portal’s Export button;
- be informed of how your information is used and disclosed.
To exercise these rights, write to the person in charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca) or, outside Quebec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca).
11. Content of your screens
You are responsible for the information you choose to show on your screens, for example the names of people organizing a meeting. For that information, we act only on your behalf, to display it. Make sure you have the right to display it and avoid entering sensitive information.
12. Confidentiality incidents
In case of unauthorized access to, use or disclosure of personal information, we will promptly take measures to reduce the risk of harm. If the incident presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information (and, where applicable, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada) and the people concerned. We keep a register of these incidents.
13. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy to reflect changes to the service or the law. The effective date at the top of the page will then be updated. In case of a significant change, we will notify you by email or in the portal.
